Orland School District 135 shares the AASL (American Association of School Librarians) Mission Statement in that we are building a community of critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, and ethical, effective users of ideas and information.
The Library Media Program at Liberty School has three components:
Literature Appreciation -- read-alouds, storytelling, and book talks promoting a love of reading.
Library Skills -- library organization and search skills.
Research Based Learning -- gathering, organizing, and presenting information.
